The Content.

Places of work bring together colleagues from all walks of life and experience levels. JRI explores the core skills often connected to the idea of being a professional. It's important for participants to utilize their skillset in order to navigate the different dynamics of the professional world, working respectfully and effectively in any setting. To do this JRI guides participants in learning about their own strengths, skills, and the ways they prefer to work. This is done through activities including common workplace scenarios, interactive videos, reflections, research and practical application. In earning all 6 badges, participants set themselves apart as being mentally ready for the workforce.  

Badges are earned by completing all content and earning a 70% or higher on each badge’s assessment.

The Benefits.

Developed in 2018 by EmployIndy JRI has served over 3,700 participants in the Marion County area. In earning each badge, participants are able to update their resumes to highlight their soft skills, as well as develop the language needed to talk about these skills confidently. 

​At the end of all six badges, in addition to the soft skills developed, participants will walk away with a resume, a map of their network, S.M.A.R.T. goals for the career they are pursuing, and have a better understanding of what jobs are available in their industry of interest.
