The Curriculum.New Skills, Same Quality and Alignment.
The Indiana DWD evolved their employability skills in 2019, connecting them to the Graduation Pathways Employability Skills Standards. EmployIndy has reviewed and enhanced the scope of the original JRI curriculum to better align with regional and State-wide efforts. The online JRI badges build off each other to craft a comprehensive foundation of self-awareness. The curriculum explores different aspects of individual perception, from personal strengths and skillsets to distinctive work styles and time management. JRI virtually guides participants in distinguishing their abilities and ambitions while also identifying areas in need of improvement, providing objective insight into the development of their professional selves. Check out the video below for a walkthrough of each of the skills included with the six JRI badges! Vertical Divider

Badge Benefits.JRI Badges are digitally and automatically awarded.
Participants can create an account and complete the courses with a certified provider or on their own, earning badges as they have time. Badges earned are automatically displayed on participant Learning Hub profiles, their Project Indy profile (if they have one), and can also be downloaded in a Learning Hub transcript to be shared. How does Project Indy help JRI participants?
At any time, participants can create a Project Indy profile and apply to jobs posted within the county wide job portal. As youth apply to jobs, the badges earned are shared with the employers through the application process. This indicates to employers that the applicant has sought out vetted professional development to intentionally develop their employability skill set.
