Badges 101.

Learn about the Job Ready Indy curriculum.

The Curriculum.

New Skills, Same Quality and Alignment.

The Indiana DWD evolved their employability skills in 2019, connecting them to the Graduation Pathways Employability Skills Standards. EmployIndy has reviewed and enhanced the scope of the original JRI curriculum to better align with regional and State-wide efforts.

The online JRI badges build off each other to craft a comprehensive foundation of self-awareness. The curriculum explores different aspects of individual perception, from personal strengths and skillsets to distinctive work styles and time management. JRI virtually guides participants in distinguishing their abilities and ambitions while also identifying areas in need of improvement, providing objective insight into the development of their professional selves.

Check out the video below for a walkthrough of each of the skills included with the six JRI badges!

Badge Benefits.

JRI Badges are digitally and automatically awarded.

Participants can enroll with a registered provider or on their own in order to complete the online JRI courses, earning badges as they have time. Badges earned automatically populate on their Learning Hub profile, their Project Indy profile (if they have one), and can also be downloaded in a Learning Hub transcript to be shared out.
How does Project Indy help JRI participants?
At any time, participants can create a Project Indy profile and apply to jobs posted within the county wide job portal. The badges earned are displayed at the top of the participant’s Project Indy profile indicating to employers that they have sought out vetted training to intentionally develop their employability skill set
