JRI Badges are now earned online!
The new rendition of Job Ready Indy has launched and is fully accessible

to Marion County providers and participants online on EmployIndy's Learning Hub.
The original in-person JRI curriculum has been archived and no longer leads to a JRI badge. Providers can still use the activities and discussions from the original in-person JRI curriculum as supplemental materials to support their participant's online learning experience, but the in-person content will not lead to a badge.

As of July 1st, 2022, only the online JRI curriculum will be available for participants to earn JRI badges. They will need to complete the virtual courses and earn a 70% or higher on each badge's corresponding assessment.

Please Note: JRI is currently only available to organizations and residents located in Marion County, Indiana.

Organizations not located in Marion County seeking to offer JRI to participants are not able to become a JRI provider at this time. Knowing that there is a demand, we are working to make the content accessible in the near future.

If you would like to know when those updates occur fill out this form to be added to the waitlist!

Job Ready Indy is now for everyone.
The online Job Ready Indy curriculum expands the scope of employability skill enhancement beyond the original, in-person programming, elevating the imperative of professional development in career sustainability for providers and clientele, alike.

Not only does JRI prepare workers with the fundamental skills they need to enter the workforce, but each JRI badge offers the opportunity for seasoned employees to further both their professional and personal dexterity, a combination of career skills that are coveted in today’s world of work.
The online JRI badges build off each other to craft a comprehensive foundation of self-awareness. The curriculum explores different aspects of individual perception, from personal strengths and skillsets to distinctive work styles and time management. JRI now guides participants in distinguishing their abilities and ambitions while also identifying areas in need of improvement, providing objective insight into the development of their professional selves.

No matter how much experience one may have in the workforce, the new, virtual version of JRI helps workers of all levels to fortify the skills they need to advance their professional portfolios and take their careers to the next level.
What are the steps to my organization being able to offer JRI to participants online?
1. Complete the Provider Inquiry Form
This will automatically send an email to Marion County organizations with instructions on how to complete the JRI Data Terms & Conditions course. The course will need to be completed by a staff member who can agree to the terms & conditions on behalf of your organization.

2. Authorized Signer Completes the JRI Data Terms & Conditions Course
Your organization's authorized signer completes the online JRI Data Terms & Conditions Course, guiding them through the design of the curriculum, data collection within the Learning Hub, and submission of the names and email addresses of those staff members who need to be trained on the content in order to offer it to participants.

3. Staff Members Complete the JRI Trainer Certification Course
Those staff members whose names and emails are submitted by the authorized signer in the JRI Data Terms &  Conditions course, will receive a link to the JRI Trainer Certification course, required for all staff members who will be utilizing the JRI curriculum with participants. This course will walk staff members through the participant experience, tracking course progression and completion, and the available in-person content that complements the online learning of JRI.

4. Trained Staff Members Gain Access
Once a staff member has completed the JRI Trainer Certification course, they receive an email within five (5) business days that includes:
  • an unique registration link created to be shared with only that organization's participants;
  • a link to a Media toolkit with: email template to assist in enrolling participants, flyers, and a social media guide; and
  • access to copies all six of the JRI Badge courses so the trainer can review and prepare for supporting participants as they take the courses.
5. Start Enrolling Participants
The organization is now set to start offering badges to participants!
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
 1. My organization is a Certified JRI Provider already and we offered the original in-person JRI content. My staff completed the in-person and/or virtual Train-the-Trainer sessions with Ashley prior to February 2022. Do we have to sign the JRI Data Terms & Conditions and complete the JRI Trainer Certification course in the Learning Hub?
Yes. The new online version of JRI is just different enough in content and in delivery that all organizations, no matter their previous involvement with JRI will need to sign the JRI Data Terms & Conditions as well as have all staff members they expect to lead JRI sessions complete the JRI Trainer Certification course. This will ensure all parties understand the data being collected, the scope of the online content and how to best utilize it.

2. Can I still do in-person activities with my participants?
Yes! In-person activities have been created to walk alongside the online content. It has been developed to be delivered in small groups or in 1-on-1 settings. The in-person activities are not required, but do help deepen participants’ understanding of the skills covered online. It is important to note that participants earn badges by completing the online content and assessments. The in-person activities are just supplemental to the online learning experience. For the purpose of supporting their participant's online learning, providers can even utilize activities from the original in-person JRI curriculum.

3. Do I have to submit the Monthly Participant Roster Report?
You do not!

As of July 1st, 2022 the original in-person JRI content has been archived and no longer leads to participants earning a badge. It can continue to be used as supplemental content, but as of July 1st the only way participants can earn JRI badges will be through the online content.
EmployIndy’s Learning Hub automatically collects all participant data, beginning in the registration process and monitored throughout participants’ course engagement.

Providers will have Team Lead access to EmployIndy’s Learning Hub, allowing your organization to directly monitor participants’ course progression and completion.

4. Personalized Pace on a Variety of Devices.
Computer and mobile device-friendly, the new JRI can be taken on the go, in a library, at school, a local community center, or from the comfort of a participant's home.

5. JRI Badges are digitally and automatically awarded.
Participants register with your organization's unique registration link and complete the online JRI courses, earning badges as they have time. Badges earned automatically display on their Learning Hub profile, their Project Indy profile (if they have one), and can also be downloaded in a Learning Hub transcript to be shared out.

6. I am a trainer with two organizations that would like to use JRI with participants. Do I have to complete the JRI Trainer Certification course twice?
No.

While each organization will need to complete the Provider Inquiry Form and the JRI Data Terms & Conditions course in order to receive their unique participant registration link, trainers only need to complete the JRI Trainer Certification course one time.

When the second organization completes the JRI Data Terms & Conditions, they will submit the names and email addresses of their staff who will be trainers for them, noting which staff members have already completed the online JRI Trainer Certification course in the past. This will give the staff member who has already been trained access to the second organization's registration link without having to complete the training for a second time. The staff member can expect to be given access within a week's time.

7. My organization already offers JRI online, we have new staff members that need to be trained to lead JRI with participants. How do we get them signed up for the JRI Trainer Certification course?
Any staff in your organization who is already JRI  certified can sign into the Learning Hub and select the JRI Trainer Certification course. Click on Lesson 11 - Submit Additional Trainers and complete the form. The staff members submitted will receive an email within a few hours giving them instructions on how to complete the JRI Trainer Certification course.

8. What if I am already trained, and I start a new position with a new organization?
If that organization is already a JRI Provider, they would just need to complete the steps in the answer above (#7) to have you added to their organization's account.

If that organization does not already offer JRI, they would need to submit a Provider Inquiry Form to get started. Your name and email address would be submitted during the process of the organization completing the JRI Data Terms & Conditions course, and they would note that you have already been trained. Your access would be granted without having to take the JRI Trainer Certification course for a second time.

9. How do I remove staff members who have left our organization from our organization's account so they no longer have access?

The authorized signer for your organization receives an email after they complete the JRI Data Terms & Conditions course that includes a link to remove staff members as a Team Lead from the organization's account. You can also reach out to support by submitting this form to request access to be removed.

10. I already have an account with the EmployIndy Learning Hub but need to get certified as a JRI Trainer. Do I need to register again with the Learning Hub?
Yes.

Use the registration link sent to you via email to register for the Learning Hub and your existing account will gain access to the JRI Trainer Certification course. After completing this registration form, it will redirect you to the Resource Library registration form. If you already have a Resource Library account, you should not complete this form again.

11. My organization would like to become a JRI provider, but we are not located in Marion County, Indiana. Can we still make this happen?
While we are not currently able to provide access to JRI for those organizations and/or participants outside of Marion County, Indiana, please know we are working hard behind the scenes to do so in the near future with minimal costs associated with the access.  We understand that many organizations and school districts are seeking reputable and easy-to-adopt curriculum to support the growth of their youth and meet specific criteria in regard to employability skill development and standards.

While it is not possible to grant access at this time, look for an announcement early summer 2023 for developments on this front.  You can fill out this interest form to be added to our mailing list for the announcement!
