Project Indy.net, a program of Mayor Joe Hogsett, is an online job board for Marion County’s youth. Project Indy is a portal (for desktop use or as an app for phones) where ages 16-to-24 can create a profile and apply for jobs near them. The goal is to reduce transportation barriers and help connect employers to a workforce in their backyard. Youth can set up profiles which act as their online resumes and search using a map that identifies employers near them.

The Job Ready Indy (JRI) badges youth earn can show up at the top of their Project Indy profile. This shows employers the applicant has actively sought opportunities to develop their professional awareness and skillset. Project Indy has employment opportunities ranging from seasonal summer jobs to full-time opportunities. With over 125 employers listing positions, a paycheck is only a few steps away. |
